Meet Ryan
Ryan is a male, Double Yellow Headed Amazon with an estimated (based on hatch date and vet estimate) hatch date of January 23, 1987. That makes him almost 33!
Ryan was surrendered on January 23rd, 2012 by the owner for euthanasia to a compassionate vet who contacted us. Ryan is going blind due to a poor diet consisting of sunflower seeds. Ryan is doing well and will live out his life here at Nana & Papa's Nest.

Meet Monkey
Monkey is a Senegal Parrot with an unknown hatch date. Sex unknown, although, we think Monkey is a boy, at least that is what we were told. We believe Monkey is approximately 25 to 30 years old.
As you see in the before and after pictures of Monkey, he came to us looking really rough. It's amazing how far he has come during since he has been with us, from being a Pluckier to being fully feathered. Proper care and diet makes a huge difference in the health of a bird.
Meet Snuggles
Snuggles is a female Sun Conure with a hatch date of 1999. We celebrate her birthday on May 1st.
She was surrendered on May 1, 2019 from an owner because they could no longer care for her. We are honored to be her retirement home.
